HAD TO STOP - GROBROK

The post didn't allow more pictures so I continue posting by dividing it up.
what is this little town+
Running up that hill
View from the hill
get high on stones cos there are lots of them in Iceland
on my way back
there are more living creatures here than me obviously:
looking death in the eye
and we hit the road

LOST IN ICELAND

Day 1 and day 2 in Bifröst, northeast of Reykjavik.
When I came to Reykjavik, the ride was waiting for me and took me directly through an amazing landscape til I reached Bifröst, surrounded by lava.
Lava lava lava 'em..
Lava of Bifröst

Surrounding of Bifröst

More Bifröst lava just outside student campus.
Short hiking to the hills of Grábrók on the backside of campus.
Should I continue or go back?
Lunch stop with dried fish will give me energy to continue
 So, let's go!
Sweet, I found wild blueberries on my way...
Luring flowers blowing in the wind next to the path.
Wild flowers?
Trucks are big this year
one of several stones on the way
unfortuntely don't have time to climb everywhere
I don't get enough of this landscape
my eyes were so thirsty for this beauty

CAN'T STAY AWAY

On my way back from Kafé Marmelad, where I bought a latte which keeps me up so I can do analysis, I saw this crowd and couldn't help myself. They were all in line at the Mariaplan-famous KORV KIOSK (sausage stand) but suddenly, apparently after speaking to the sausage sales man, the crowd began moving towards the tram station.
I wonder if they asked if they could all have a sausage?

BUBBLES

Återigen, who would imagine there are such nice things in the sink.
a few bubble in close
same bubbles with more speed
final bubbles coming to an end revealing the source

CALCULATING THE MONEY

money is everywhere

there are some heavy analysis being made as we speak
too bad they are being erased every now and then
but I don't give up
there MUST be a way

Role of CX3CR1/CX3CL1 axis in primary and secondary involvement of the nervous
system by cancer

Federica Marchesi a, Marco Locatelli b, Graziella Solinas a, Marco Erreni a,
Paola Allavena a, Alberto Mantovani a,c,⁎

CX3CL1 or Fractalkine is a peculiar chemokine that can exist either in a soluble form, like all the other chemokines, and as a cell membrane molecule.

CX3CL1 is one of the most expressed chemokines in the central nervous system, where it regulates the communication between neurons, glia and microglia.

Fig. 1CX3CR1 in primary tumors of the nervous system and metastasis. Different tumors expressing CX3CR1 are represented, together with the organs or tissues which are the site of secondary localization.

Fig. 2. Perineural invasion in pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
(A) Histological section of pancreatic cancer (T) invading the perineural space (N, circled section).
Immunoreactivity with an anti-CX3CR1 depicts pancreatic tumor cells (magnification 40×).
(B) Schematic representation of some of the molecular mechanisms involved in perineural invasion.
A nerve inside the pancreas developing a tumor is represented.
Tumor cells adhere to neural cells, infiltrating the perineural space.
Molecules involved in this interaction include the chemokine Fractalkine/Neurotactin (CX3CL1) expressed by neurons and its receptor CX3CR1 on tumor cells.
Neurotropins secreted by neural and tumor cells sustain growth and survival of both intratumoral nerves and cancer cells.

DAGENS OUTFIT

ÄSCH. My first experience in Adobe Photoshop. I need more time to learn it. Oh well. I can't put my finger on what is bad with it. Of course there are many. But first thought, is it my position looking like I am about to fall but still not, the brush, or what is it.....Ja, it is way undermade. There are too many tools... =(

FREDAGSMYS

good night
lid to bowl on the stove where pop corn are made

THE END

everything good must come to an end too
not a bowling klot
it is the long wanted watermelon which rolled out while I was taking a picture
it looks sort of like a big neuron in the middle doesn't it

MISCELLANEOUS

the picture in the middle is a mirror in the steel and the bluish line there is the contour of the tram actually...
i wanna  be a construction worker in my next life

HEY GREAT IDEA!

I think I will do my whole blog GOLDEN from now on. Theme RICH. And I should add some SILVER too I think. Chic n'est-ce pas?

RAIN

Realized at breakfast how powerful to think that this day today is one of the days I was offered to be on planet earth. Even in the rain. The countdown has begun. Maybe it is something one starts to think about when getting closer to the age of 40. Anywhoo, i love the rain today. Below wanted to add another truck to my collection.

I'M WORKING 9 TO 9

working 9 to 5 what a way to make your livinä
 (yeah, i don't think so)
WORKING 9 TO 9 - YEEHAA!

PINK
I'm passing through everywhere now, with my new id card, with picture of recognizable me.
So, I was blessed with yet another day as an employee.
Have to redo ELISA.
no I did not adjust colors
should have been on the left as well (above)
it's important to wash your hands after you finish in the lab

lunch!
that's how nice it is to work on Guldhedsgatan
we just get free watermelon once in a while
who took a bite of my piece

I didn't know there was so much art behind the buidlings at work!
sweet
I know. it doesn't matter whatever I put on, I still look childish. Not younger, just childish.

Shop til u drop, stay hungry every day, hire a life coach, be happy, do yoga, eat macrobiotic, attend de-stress course, smile, play basket ball, dance, sing, speak with a melodic loud voice. We are all public speakers you see.
Mots important!
BE ON TIME!

Maybe I should hire a stylist?
Or maybe make some more money?
she works so hard

LEAST BUT NOT LAST:
PHD student HOLIDAY (or how was it?)
woo hoo - free parking?
right here's a spot! too bad I gave away my Volvo 760
now I have to buy a moped to get the free parking
